Download Prevention
Default: OffSupports Dynamic Text
A message the customer has to read before downloading. Use it for:
- installation or system requirements: "Requires Windows 11 or macOS 14."
- terms of use: "For personal use only. Don't share this file."
- what to do next: "Unzip the file, then open setup.exe."
When the customer selects a download button, the message appears with a Continue to button, such as Continue to Download Content. The download starts only once they continue.
Show the message as a Banner under the product, or in a Modal dialog. Products with several pieces of content always use a banner: their downloads are already listed in a dialog, so the message appears in the list, under the item the customer selected.
Things to know
- It applies to every product, for every download. It can't be turned on for some products only, but dynamic text can show different details for each product.
- It doesn't appear on a disabled button, for example when the customer is out of downloads.
