Time Limit

Overview

This feature allows you to restrict access to digital content based on a time limit. The "start time" occurs the moment to order is placed. Once the time limit is surpassed for a given line item the customers will no longer have access to the digital content. This means downloading content, revealing keys, etc. will no longer be available.

Configuration

This feature uses Global and Product level settings. See Setting Priority for more details.

Global Setting

  1. Access via "Global Settings" -> "Time Expiration" section.
  2. Adjust weeks, days, hours, to decide how long you want customers to have access.
  3. Set an optional "Expiration Message" to display to customers when access is revoked. This message uses our Dynamic Text feature.
  4. Save all newly configured settings.
  5. Click the "Turn On" button to activate the feature

Product Setting

  2. Adjust weeks, days, hours, to decide how long you want customers to have access.

Reset Limit

If for any reason you need to provide access to the customer after the time limit has been surpassed you can reset the time limit. When the time limit is reset, it moves the "start time" to right now. This means the customer will have completely new time bank before the item expires again. Resetting time limits is scoped to individual orders and/or the line items on that order.
