License Key Metadata

Metadata lets you store your own details with a license key: where you bought it, what it cost, or anything else you need to track. Each entry is a name and a value, such as Supplier: Acme Software.

Customers never see metadata.

Adding it​

  • When you upload keys. The details you enter are saved with every key in that batch. That's the easy way to record which invoice or purchase order a batch came from. See Adding License Keys.
  • On a single key, later. Add, change or remove its details at any time.

The app suggests common names, Invoice #, Quote #, Purchase Order # and Supplier, and remembers names you've used before, so your details stay consistent.

Ideas for using it​

  • Track your suppliers, to see which batch a faulty key came from.
  • Record costs or invoice numbers, for your accounting.
