Auto Restock Inventory
Default: On
When a customer returns or is refunded for a Download & License product, Auto Restock puts the returned keys back in the product's pool, as long as the customer never revealed them. They're then ready for the next order, instead of being lost.
You can also turn it on or off for a single product. See Product Settings.
When it restocks a key
All of these must be true:
- The product is an enabled Download & License product.
- The customer never revealed the key.
- The order was placed after you installed the app.
- The return was approved (or you created it yourself), or the item was refunded. A return that's only been requested doesn't restock anything yet, in case you decline it.
A key that doesn't qualify is returned instead: the customer can't see it, and it isn't sold again.
Chargebacks are handled by their own setting. See Chargeback Processing.
When turned off
Returned keys stay returned. You can still put unused ones back yourself: they're counted as Restockable Keys. See Returning and Restocking Keys.
